Barzan

Frequently asked questions

What is Barzan?

Barzan is a Saudi request-for-quotation platform. Instead of calling ten shops about the same item, you send your request once — written, photographed, or as an uploaded material list — and it reaches the suppliers who actually carry it and deliver to your area.

How do I request quotes?

Write or photograph your request: Write what you need, photograph the part or its label, or upload a BOQ or material list as a PDF. Review the draft: Barzan reads the details and prepares a structured draft. You review and edit it — nothing is sent without your approval. Receive offers: Your request reaches suppliers matched on category and delivery area, and each interested supplier sends an offer. Compare and choose: Compare landed cost, lead time, stock status and supplier verification, then choose.

Is my request sent without my approval?

Barzan reads the details and prepares a structured draft. You review and edit it — nothing is sent without your approval.

Does Barzan sell the goods?

The supplier you choose is the seller and carries full responsibility for the order. Barzan is the intermediary that delivers your request and presents the offers — it does not sell the goods and never receives your money.

Who receives the payment?

It does not receive your money — payment is directly between you and the supplier.

Who is responsible for quality, delivery and the invoice?

Availability of the goods and their conformity to the agreed specification and quantity. Quality, safety, warranty and after-sales service, plus any certificate or licence the product requires. Delivery on the date stated in its offer, or preparing the order for pickup. Installation, loading, unloading and cold-chain handling where its offer states them. Issuing the statutory tax invoice in its own name. Receiving payment from you directly, by the agreed method.

Can a supplier see competitors’ offers or my contact details?

Your data is protected: a supplier never sees a competitor's offer, and your contact details stay hidden until you choose an offer yourself.

What if something goes wrong with a supplier?

If something goes wrong — a delay or non-conforming goods — open a dispute and Barzan will pursue it with you and the supplier, and may suspend the supplier. Compensation, replacement and returns remain the supplier's obligation under Saudi consumer-protection and e-commerce law.

Where is Barzan available?

Delivery is currently available across the whole of Riyadh — every district, north, south, east and west. Some suppliers are based outside Riyadh, such as in Al-Kharj, and deliver into the city. That is normal in materials and fresh produce supply.

When do Jeddah and Dammam open?

Jeddah and Dammam are next. We expand city by city, only once enough suppliers there are ready — so your first request meets real offers rather than an empty page. Register interest and we will tell you when your city opens.

How do I join as a supplier?

You receive the supplier agreement, with all its terms in writing, before your account is activated. Barzan does not hold your money — the buyer pays you directly.
